Technology-Mediated Feedback in Piano Studios Project | 01 (2010-2017)

In my PhD, I have explored the application of technology in higher education piano studios. The main focus was to investigate the pedagogical uses of additional visual and auditory feedback in piano learning and teaching. I have found that the main contribution of my PhD was augmented students' intrapersonal feedback and enhanced students'  conscious-awareness of their performance outcomes once additional feedback was used in piano lessons alongside teachers. Thus, additional feedback can  optimize traditional piano pedagogy approaches.  "Technology-mediated feedback in piano studios" project aimed to investigate how different technology systems can enhance piano learning. My PhD thesis is available at the British Library EThOS e-theses on-line service.
