Dr Luciana Hamond currently works as Assistant Professor in the Piano/Music Education areas in the Department of Arts of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). She is the leader of the research group called Piano & Technology (2021-ip), coordinator of two projects: "Soundtrack for Videos" (2022- ip) and "Piano in Focus" (2022).
She is a motivated, innovative, flexible person committed to encourage students in piano / keyboard learning and playing.
She seeks to apply digital technologies in individual and group piano lessons for enhancing both performance and for developing improvisation. In many different areas of music teaching and study she has successfully designed, developed, and delivered classes, programmes and courses to different age groups and all levels of expertise.
Her academic background and her performance and teaching background provide the sound theoretical and practical basis to all my work.

I have been giving piano and electric keyboard lessons to students from diverse backgrounds, and different age groups at this music school. Piano lessons are tailor made in order to fulfill individual needs, preferences and differences of students. Students also are frequently invited to take part in group piano lessons. I used to give piano lessons as part of the extra-curricular activities, e.g. Music Service equivalent, to the BS pupils from Infant 1 to 5. Lessons were given in English, using international pedagogic materials.
